Here’s a list of artists I’ve written about in Research Notes. Some of these writings are merely in list form while others go deeper into the artist’s practice and the reasons for ‘dropping out,’ withdrawing, and returning briefly to the art world, which are some of the themes of this writing project called Research Notes.
Not all artists fit within the ‘dropout’ theme, some I wrote about because I saw a connection to loneliness or alienation from society. I’ll be adding to this list as I write new pieces.
